To “discover” is defined, “to find (something or someone) unexpectedly or in the course of a search,” the noun, “discovery” is defined as “the action or process of discovering or being discovered.” My journey as a student, educator, and public service leader was at its finest, unexpected. This journey led to “discovery” within myself, with others, and in this world. I found my truth while along the way actively working with individuals and communities to discover the strengths, talents, and assets within themselves and their environments to be resilient and act justly in all areas of their life. The various initiatives, places, and stories I have encountered have shaped my narrative- a story that is still being written.
